A mid 19th Century brass bound rosewood ladies dressing case with makers label for <em>Turtill, Manufacturer of Ladies &amp; Gentlemen's Dressing Cases, 221 Holborn, London.</em> The top opening to reveal a blue velvet lined interior containing fouteen silver topped bottles and containers, some stamped with the makers mark WN, for William Nixon, together with date stamps for London 1833-34.  There is a removable pad with a selection of silverl tools and scissors, the interior of the lid containers a removable mirror and stationary compartment. To the front reveals a pull out drawer with compartments for jewellery. Complete with working lock and key.
